Central Desktop an undervalued and very definitely underhyped Web 2.0 web service.
Central Desktop is a hosted web solution that allows users to organise, share, and collaborate across the web in a virtual workspace.
There are so many features in Central Desktop that I could probably fill my blog page using two columns but here is a few, you can track projects, create a virtual intranet, share files, schedule, and coordinate events, as well as make and keep notes. This is just the tip of the iceberg, definitely this is a web service to consider if you are willing to pay
The only negative comment I have but is common among many of these new small business, consultant services is that I they don’t offer SSL connections at lower price points. Central Desktop for example only offers https (secure connections) if you pay at least $99/month.
Its my opinion that this is unethic behaviour but that is another story perhaps. See my DabbleDB post and comments for another ‘discussion’ I got into over their lack of https support at lower price points.
Central Desktop is a leader in both ease of use and features. I recommend them for consideration if you are looking for a small business or team collaboration product.
