Rapleaf API’s Public

Comments

Rapleaf has until today been working with a select group of partners testing their API. Hopefully these ’select’ partners are building some great mashups that we will see soon.

Today, however, Rapleaf has finally released their APIs to the public I can’t wait to see where this takes their core product. APIs are always a tough call, you want to give away certain aspects of your service that will add value to other services enough so that they will ‘bite’ but you don’t want to give away too much.

A good set up APIs can make your product/service ultimately more valuable. See FireFox, Google Maps, NetVibes, etc.

Coincidentally NetVibes has also released a bunch of APIs and even a special part of the web site called Eco. TechCrunch actually talks more about NetVibes here
