@Media 2006 kicks off this Thursday, but tomorrow they are expected to have a ‘big’ pre-conference party. Hopefully this is more a reality than promotion.
I am hoping to learn lots about some of the changes happening within the industry as well as go to the parties and meet new people. The parties are a great touch and I think are a good addition, it allows you to learn while you are there and focus on the networking elsewhere. I like networking but sometimes it interferes with my work, and at the end of the day, my current job pays the bills and future potential while all well and good is still not here and now. So with my feet on the ground I go there to learn all I can.
