CityCita just launched its public beta and although their features are a bit lean their open standards driven architecture is something to be admired. They intend to continue their standards work building a web service that will allow for probably a great many mash-ups and tie-ups.Â
A couple features of note on their roadmap are their desire to support microformats which if you read my blog you know is a pretty important feature to me, as well they also plan to support a mobile version.Â
One last note of interest, if you watch your status bar when trolling their website you will notice that Google’s Analytics is being used (I confirmed via their source code). Hmmmm. But it doesn’t end there as once I opened the source I also noticed they use jQuery and prototype JavaScript libraries.
