If you haven’t already heard Office 2007 is available as a webservice to take for a test run. If you are curious or you need to get an early look for planning or training purposes then come check it out.
There are a couple conditions though. Unsurprisingly you can’t use another browser other than IE and I haven’t yet heard if the old version of IE that Mac runs will work either but you are always welcome to try. Also you must sign up or sign in to Passport and download a plugin. If that doesn’t deter you then go ahead and enjoy, I have been suitably deterred so I won’t be checking it out.
Also I just want to take a moment to plug a fabulous Microsoft Office competitor.
“Microsoft offers you a “test drive” so that you can see what Microsoft
Office 2007 might look like when it finally goes on sale. The OpenOffice.org Community invites you to go one better - download a fully-functional, legal copy of the OpenOffice.org 2 office suite today for a test drive. If you like it, use it free for as long as you like.
We say it’s the ultimate no-strings-attached test drive - if you enjoy
the test drive, keep the car!”
If you want to hear more about what others are saying you can go here and here or just go to technorati.
