Feedburner buys BlogBeat (Analytics provider)

by Roger Kondrat on July 17, 2006

In an interesting twist Blogbeat a small but growing blog analytics service has just been gobbled up by feed management giant Feedburner.

Feedburner is the defacto RSS subscription provider on the web, they are the Microsoft or Google of the RSS world. While buying Blogbeat may make other ‘independent’ analytic providers worry about their business, but ultimately it should prove beneficial for us bloggers. As a matter of fact if you read the FAQs Feedburner posted you will find it has already been a financial benefit to us by becoming free with those having paid for membership receiving a refund.
Good luck with your purchase Feedburner, I look forward to seeing how you integrate the Blogbeat into the ‘mothership’.
