Haven’t had a chance to check it out yet but I hope its easy to use and simple to learn. If you want to read more about Google ‘Doc’ you can check out this News.com article, check out Google’s blog post, or you can go to Google Doc and try it out.
As well here is a list of a few sites talking about this ‘happening’, but before I move I would like to point out that if you haven’t heard of Zoho then you may want to check them out since they have a much more complete product with single sign in and more.

On GigaOm, Mr Malik makes mention of the missing database app, however I wonder if he is missing an important and under discussed app/service and that is Google Base. With the api’s and the constant work being done on Google Base I wonder if its the ‘dark’ horse database app.
PS: Google Office its almost ready: GCal, GMail, Docs & Spreadsheets and Chat. What’s missing - a database app and slide show app.
