Bliki was recently coined by Cyn.in (pronounced: ’sign-in’) an Indian based software development company that just launched cyn.in a new Enterprise 2.0 style content management system. From what I can see this content management system (now CMS) is pretty amazing, and not only is it feature rich but its being delivered as an SaaS which means no need to hire more techies, software developers, etc. Its all built in! If you are still unsure what SaaS is consider another very well known SaaS provider, Salesforce.com.
Wondering about the name Bliki, well its a hybrid combination of the terms Blog and Wiki.
Features of the Bliki from Cyn.in are:
- Single Click Publishing
- Organise with SlashTags
- Full Text Search Engine
- Web-based Word processor
- Alerts & Notifications
- Advanced RSS Feeds
- Ajax style user interface
- Manage all media
- Versioning
- Large Storage Space (they say large I say small, you decide)
- For more detailed feature descriptions go to Cyn.in’s feature page
For a detailed comparison of the Bliki versus the majors e.g. Sharepoint, SocialText,CollabNet, and much more you should check out Cyn’s comparison page. Its very detailed for a comparison chart which is always nice especially when discussion CMS software because the devil is always in the details.
If all this sounds pretty cool then you can always just sign up for a demo and see whether the service will work for you company.

Can’t help but notice one thing, though. The home page link you’re giving seems to be of some other review for cyn.in.

I may be being piki but I don’t think they coined the term. There’s been a wikipedia page about bliki’s since 23 June 2003.

Thanks for the extensive review of cyn.in.
We appreciate your comments and have put up a post on the Official cyn.in blog. The trackback URL for this post doesn’t seem to work and hence I am putting the link right here.
cyn.in is now available in a Free-for-Life Professional edition. So do give it a spin and feel free to give us your valuable feedback.
