Technorati joins OpenID

Just a couple days ago Technorati announced they were allowing those with OpenIDs to sign in to Technorati and confirm their identity on the web.  This is a great step forward as the blogosphere is all about personal brand and individuality. 

You can check out their press announcement and if you like you can attach your OpenID to your Technorati account as well if you don’t have an OpenID you could always go to ClaimID (that’s who I use) and sign up with them.

OpenID is still new so there are issues, I have had major problems with Zooomr’s signup process although I hope these problems are not unique to them and more to do with trying something so new.
