Recently I have been spending time on Alexa and Alexaholic just playing with stats, researching trends and so on and for kicks I looked at the top mover and shakers (its an Alexa whats ‘hot’ list regarding growing web traffic) and I saw Mozilla.  Excellent and not totally surprising since they just released a browser (FF2.0).

However I did think it was interesting that Firefox.com, Mozilla Europe, MozillaZine, and a few other Mozilla related properties were on there as well a few days later they were even higher.  If this is a sudden rush to download FF2.0 then this is really interesting because I would have thought there would have been some cooling off by now, maybe a plateau, not a continued rise at such ballistic rates to maintain a number 1 ranking on Alexa.

Notice that Mozilla’s web properties take up all 5 of the top 5 spots.  That is pretty impressive.  Go Mozilla go!  If you haven’t heard about Firefox yet then I recommend taking a look, most computer enthusiasts, experts, and security professionals recommend it by far as a superior browser even now with Internet Explorer 7 just released.
