Operator 11 - Just another Web 2.0 Video application that lets you run your own TV Station (or try to anyway)

After Mogulus (Web TV startup) I got to thinking, they can’t be the first, right?

Well they aren’t and so here is another one called Operator 11. Operator11 looks an aweful lot like YouTube. Do they feel they are competing with YouTube?

Interesting name although considering just their home page I feel its possible to suppose that when it comes to marketing Mogulus is way better equipped.

Here are a couple reasons why I say that (again this was my initial thoughts just looking at the site), 1) they don’t have a unique name which means there will always be a battle to defend their trade mark assuming they get one and then defending it in the search engines will be a great challenge, 2) first impressions are everything and when I landed on Operator 11’s home page I wasn’t sure what I was looking at, it was unclear to me what they do or how they can help me.

Feature for feature or which works more easily I don’t know at least not yet but I will and when I do I will let you know.

Hey, I had access to the new O11 site, you can see it available from tomorrow 6/13/07, I think things have improved a lot since 5/22, the site was just being born by then..
