Just an announcement, YouTube has finally launched a Mobile website (m.youtube.com) and apparently according to NMA.co.uk have also been in private negotiations with Vodafone regarding the new mobile site.
Not sure why they would be in negotiations when their site is now openly available to anyone but its possible to speculate that maybe it has to do with distribution and promotion and who knows maybe Vodafone in its efforts to reform its image as ‘draconian’ about unlimited data is offering some kind of ’stippend’ for exclusivity of the YouTube brand in promotions etc.
Only other news source (bloggers only) on the web talking about this is FeedtheGeeks.
What do you think? Why do you think YouTube would want an exclusive agreement?
