Nokia opens Music Store in Germany

by Roger Kondrat on March 5, 2008

This is the second music store Nokia has opened in Europe.  Nokia now has a store in the two largest markets in the EU - Britian and Germany. The prices in Germany will be €1 (euro) which is only slightly more than Apple’s iTunes at €0.99.Nokia has aggressive expansion plans for Europe with all the other majors such as France, Italy, and Spain getting stores before the middle of 2008.

You may recall last year that Nokia launched the new brand Ovi communicating to us industry watchers that Nokia was serious about becoming a player in the media distribution market and this is just a continuation of their stated strategy from that point. Also the much delayed N-Gage gaming platform looks like it is finally going to be launched - WOW. Related Articles:
