Today Wordpress let ‘leak’ (I found out about it via TechCrunch) they were going to make WordPress more social by adding in distinctive social aspects.  This apparently got found out because TechCrunch asked an astute question, what do you (Auttomatic) plan to do with recently hired Andy Peatling. Andy is known for his ‘conversions’ of Mult-User (MU) Wordpress conversions into socialised software. Andy’s work:

• News ChickSpeak

With this news, I can’t help but wonder if everyone is going to try become a social network at one point or another? Look lets just call it what it is, WP.com is not WP.org and lets fork them and make them different products because I don’t want my future site to be a social network.
