According to multiple sources including Ofcoms’ own website mobile phones will now be allowed on flights originating from Europe.
Everyone who flies knows that as long as mobiles have existed we were always required to turn off our mobiles whenever travelling by airplane, but not any more.
Also AeroMobile a UK company that specialises in the technology that allows for mobile calls from 6km above the earth announced Emirates had the first ever mobile call made from one of its planes 20th of March 2008. Imagine being able to make a mobile call while on a plane.

“As the world leader in innovation for our customers, we are delighted to now offer them the choice of using their own mobile phones to contact friends, family or colleagues while flying with us. Our customers are already making more than 7,000 calls a month from our in-seat phones, so we will be making life easier for those for whom staying in touch using their mobile phone has become an important part of their everyday lives.”
