News: Y Combinators startup school Day 1

by Roger Kondrat on April 20, 2008

Today was the first day of Y Combinators startupschool.org. The whole purpose of the ’school’ is to help early stage entrepreneurs make it from idea to an operational, funded business.

I would say profitable business but many businesses often get bought by Yahoo!, Microsoft, or Google at such an early stage making a profit can be in some entrepreneurs eyes a bit of an after thought.

That being said if you have a good idea and you run your business right most often you will find a way to profit because you have a good business sense. Although not always the case it is often the case.

If you have not heard of Startup School you should check it out and try get into it next year. It is hosted in California and has many many speakers that come there to talk one thing, how to start and build your business.

Good luck to my friends over there as I know quite a few of them made it into startup school for 2008. Cheers
