News: Firefox 3.0 launching today

by Roger Kondrat on June 17, 2008

The latest version of Firefox is going to be released sometime today and everyone from the Team Mozilla has said this version will be faster than any version before.

“Firefox 3 promised to be faster, easier to use and more secure than rival browsers.” said Mr Schroepfer the VP of Engineering at Mozilla.

Also in this version is the much anticipated ‘malicious software spotters’ which should help all users but in particular non-geeky users survive clever attacks over the web by Crackers (Def: Bad Hackers) on their system.

This is a big moment for those involved and will directly impact how we experience the web over the next 3 years.

Update: Here are the links to download it now! Enjoy

Update2: Lifehacker has a history of Firefox from 1.0 to 3.0 up on their site.  It has lots of pictures to gloss over for people like me that just enjoy a few pics. :)
