LG Electronics just announced that the Dual-View Flat OLEDs will begin shipping in the US in July 2016. LG says that these displays will offer businesses to ‘create a completely immersive and more engaging environment for their customer’.
This is the first digital signage solution to offer OLED technology to the U.S. commercial marketplace. This high-end display leads LG’s new commercial OLED portfolio, that also includes the customisable Dual-View Curved Tiling OLED Display, both prominent for a paper-thin design and producing perfect blacks and incredible colour.
The Dual-View Flat OLED display enables a space-efficient view to provide customers a two-sided media experience in Full HD (1920×1080) resolution. With its very slim profile, measuring just 8.94mm (0.4 inches), and three different installation options – ceiling suspension, floor stand and wall-mount – this unique flat OLED commercial display allows retailers to plan the most efficient use in any retail space although utilizing a high-end display solution. The 55-inch display has the unique ability to mirror and swap content on either side of the screen with just a simple press of a remote control button.
The Dual-View Curved Tiling OLED display provide a beautifully curved design using ultra-slim tiles to form customizable displays that link two, three or four tiles together. This 65-inch class (64.53 inches diagonally) portrait display’s paper-thin, eye-catching dual-sided view provides customers a multi-media experience while providing retailers a way to utilise their space efficiently.
Each screen enable 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) resolution with more than 8 million pixels and showcases a bolder, bigger and more lifelike viewing experience to capture consumer attention effortlessly. High-performance system-on-a-chip and a large internal memory capacity enable perfect UHD-synced playback without the need for media players or PCs.
